Encodify has appointed Søren Gammelgaard as the new Chief Executive Officer. Encodify, headquartered in Odense, Denmark, is a market leader in Marketing Work Management, supplying customers all over Europe. Besides Odense, the company has offices in Copenhagen, London, and Madrid. The client list includes some of Europe’s most well-known brands, including El Corte Ingles, Jysk, and Netto, as well as agencies Tag Group and Hogarth.
Søren Gammelgaard comes from the position of CFO of Encodify. He has previous experience as CEO and CFO of listed company OrderYOYO and former leadership roles in Profil Optik, ISS, and LEO Pharma.
The board takes the opportunity to thank the former CEO, Steen Egholm Sørensen. He has served the company through remarkable growth and development for six years.
– This year, I have been the CEO of Encodify for six years, a job that has called for my attention 24/7. During these years, we have achieved a lot of great successes, expanding our footprint, welcoming new renowned customers, and bringing a new majority owner on board with Viking Venture. Now I need time to regain my breath. In close dialog with the board, I have decided that it is now the right time for me to step back and ask someone else to take charge of this great team of employees and customers, says Steen Egholm Sørensen.
– While thanking Steen Egholm Sørensen for a great tenure as CEO over the last six years, I am particularly pleased that Søren Gammelgaard will take over as CEO and lead Encodify through the next phase of its growth journey. Søren knows the people and the company and has the right background and experience to make this a great success, commented Eivind Bergsmyr, chairman of the board of Encodify and partner at lead investor Viking Venture.
– Encodify has great customers, people, products, and the potential to continue the growth journey. I am motivated and eager to lead the company through its next phase, said new CEO Søren Gammelgaard.
Encodify is a global SaaS technology service and a market leader in Marketing Work Management. In 2001, we pioneered the MarTech industry by devising the MWM category. Based on our no-code technology, we have since built industry-leading best-practice MWM solutions, allowing all stakeholders in the marketing value chain to collaborate efficiently.
Today we are setting new standards by converging DAM/PIM (Content Hub), workflow, proofing, and project management tools to help clients innovate and optimize their work. Encodify was founded and still has its headquarters in Odense, Denmark.
In 2020, Viking Venture invested in Encodify to expand and develop business across Europe.
Encodify’s product is a no-code, adaptable platform designed and delivered (via best practice blueprints) to provide maximum support for the core marketing and campaign processes across three main client segments – Retail, Agency, and Brand Owners/Marketers. We help marketers control their workflows across the value chain and locate the consumer for all stakeholders – from suppliers to communication. Because of our ability to integrate with other systems, we eliminate silos and create seamless collaboration and data flows. We are constantly looking for ways to help our clients adapt, integrate, and excel at mastering their value chains by bringing all stakeholders together in a seamless collaborative environment.
