Erik is Managing Partner and founder of Viking Venture. Since being established in 2001, the firm has invested in over 50 companies. Erik has over 30 years of experience in the software industry and his rich background brings a dynamic combination of strategic, operational and entrepreneurial expertise to Viking’s portfolio companies. He has lived and worked in Sweden, Canada and the UK.

Erik’s career began at McKinsey & Company and he went on to work as VP Marketing (distribution) at NetCom GSM ASA, CEO at Schibsted Nett and Scandinavia Online and Partner at Arthur Andersen.

Erik has a MSc in Computer Science from the Norwegian Institute of Technology and an MBA from INSEAD, France.

Jostein is Partner and co-founder of Viking Venture. He is passionate about technology and his expertise in business strategy and commercialization has time after time driven results for fast-growing software scale-ups. Jostein has over 20 years of experience from the software industry. He has lived and worked in Sweden and the US.

Before joining Viking, Jostein worked with business development and M&A at Carlsberg Breweries, Lilleborg, Orkla Media and Orkla ASA.

Jostein has a MSc in Business from the Norwegian Business School.

Hege is Viking Venture’s Chief Financial Officer. She heads up Investor Relations, financial due diligence and financial reporting and control. Hege has lived and worked in Denmark and France.

Prior to Viking Venture, Hege worked as an auditor at Ernst & Young and Systemrevisjon. This background has given her extensive experience in terms of auditing and consulting growth companies in the Nordics.

Hege has a MSc in Professional Accountancy from the Norwegian Business School.

Joar is Partner at Viking Venture. His extensive experience in M&A and business modelling are important resources for Viking’s portfolio companies. In addition to this, Joar has broad experience from building sales engines, pricing projects and financing. He has more than 15 years’ experience from the software industry. Joar has lived and worked in the UK and the US.

Before joining Viking, Joar worked in M&A at Ernst & Young and as a consultant at DNB.

Joar has a BBA from the Norwegian Business School and an MBA from the University of Warwick, UK.

Eivind is Partner at Viking Venture. His wide-ranging industry background enables him to think both strategically and operationally. He has lived and worked in the US.

Eivind has a strong entrepreneurial mindset and prior to joining Viking, was an instrumental part of the success of Nacre AS, a former Viking Venture portfolio company. As CEO of Nacre, he led them from being a Norwegian start-up to global market leader in communication and hearing protection headsets for defense, security and industrial markets. Nacre was sold for 125 mUSD to Honeywell in 2007 – the exit was named Nordic Venture Exit of the Year 2007 by Nordic Unquote Private Equity Awards.

Eivind has a MSc in Electronics Engineering from The Norwegian University of Science and Technology. He has additional education from the Norwegian Business School (BI), MBA-level management training and venture capital education.

Martin is Senior Investment Manager at Viking Venture. He is working in Viking’s Operational Excellence team supporting portfolio companies on their growth journey through strategy, business models, pricing and commercial scalability projects among other things. Prior to this Martin lead Viking’s efforts towards the Danish market and was responsible for deal sourcing and execution, resulting in six platform investments.

Prior to joining Viking Venture, Martin worked as an Associate at Grant Thornton’s London office. During this time he worked in the firms Restructuring & Debt Advisory as well as Business Consulting teams primarily engaged in due diligence and business reviews.

In addition to being ACA qualified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Martin holds a BSc in Business Administration and MSc in Finance and Strategic Management.

Ingvild is heading the Operational Excellence (OpEx) team at Viking Venture. OpEx supports Viking Venture portfolio companieson their growth journey through different projects and initiatives, including refreshing of strategy, getting the business model and pricing right, building scalable sales engines, reducing churn, and post-merger integration.

She is also responsible for managing Viking’s software community, which offers a unique environment for portfolio companies to exchange knowledge, ideas and experiences within the most important processes for software companies.

Prior to Viking Venture, Ingvild worked with strategic and operational consulting as an Associate at BDO AS.

Ingvild has a MSc in Business Administration and a BSc in Economics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

Andreas is a Senior Investment Manager at Viking Venture. He is responsible for deal sourcing and execution in the Danish and Swedish markets, as well as the development of select portfolio companies. Previously, he headed up the Operational Excellence team and has extensive project experience supporting the portfolio companies to grow their businesses.

Prior to joining Viking Venture, Andreas spent more than 5 years with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) advising clients on strategic, operational and financial topics. He has extensive international experience and has lived and worked in more than 5 countries.

Andreas has a MSc in Industrial Economics and Technology Management and a BSc in Economics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. He spent an exchange year at Harvard University.

Christine is our Marketing Manager at Viking Venture. She is responsible for providing our deal sourcing team with high-quality inbound investment opportunities through targeted marketing. She has lived in Denmark and Australia.

Prior to Viking Venture, Christine worked as the Chief Sales Marketing Officer at Myworkout. A growth company trying to solve the inactivity problem with the help of technology. She has also been working as a GTM-lead at Danske Bank, with the responsibility to launch new products and services in the Norwegian market.

Christine has an MSc EBA (International Marketing and Management) from Copenhagen Business School and a BSc in Economics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

Chris is an Investment Associate at Viking Venture. As part of the investment team, he participates in deal sourcing, execution, and monitoring of portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Viking Venture, Chris worked as a Business Developer at Ntention, a growth company working with interaction systems. He also has experience from internships at Deloitte Consulting and Ownersroom, where he worked with strategy and innovation.

Rune is Senior Investment Associate at Viking Venture. As part of the operational excellence team, he participates in execution as well as the monitoring and development of portfolio companies. He has lived in the UK and Singapore.

Prior to joining Viking Venture, Rune worked as an Associate at EQT’s London office in the Private Equity team focusing on software companies. Previously, Rune worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs’ London office covering companies across industries including technology and software.

Rune has an MSc in Financial Economics from University of Oxford and a BSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics, with exchange studies at Singapore Management University.

Anders Løe is Senior Investment Associate at Viking Venture. As part of the investment team he participates in deal sourcing, execution and monitoring of portfolio companies in the Danish and Swedish markets. He has lived in Australia and USA.

Prior to joining Viking Venture, Anders worked as a Vice President on the corporate finance team at Arctic Securities in New York. He also has experience from corporate finance at Pareto Securities in New York.
