Aberdeen-based Meta has won the Leading Commercial Application Award at the 2013 Platts Global Energy Awards, one of the industry’s most prestigious awards and described as the ‘Oscars’ of the energy sector.
The Award, which was announced at a ceremony at the The Waldorf Astoria in New York on December 12th 2013 attended by more than 500 energy industry executives, saw Meta as one of 15 company winners from over 200 nominations. The award was in recognition of Meta’s Metalmorphology™ technology principle and how it has been rolled-out commercially to help operators proactively protect the integrity of their oil & gas wells.
“This is a huge honour for Meta and confirmation as to how Metalmorphology™ is redefining well integrity as we know it through real-world, practical applications,” said Meta CEO, Kevin Stewart.
Based in the Aberdeen Energy Park at the Bridge of Don, Meta provides premium downhole isolation during drilling, completion and production to the worldwide oil and gas industry.
Meta is a company in the Viking Venture III portfolio.
